Innovative IRC Promotional Label Design for Hair Care Products

Instant Redeemable Coupons, or IRCs, are decades-old tools brands use to promote products and drive sales. They recently accounted for 18 percent of all coupon redemptions, the highest share of any coupon type.
The firm was responsible for designing the IRC labels, but hair care products presented a challenge. The packaging is small, leaving limited space for both branding and promotional elements.
The solution was a removable baseboard IRC adhered to the side of the product. This kept the coupon visible and accessible without covering the product’s existing branding.
The technical execution was not simple. Labels had to be printed so the IRC protruded to the side at precise dimensions. Other label manufacturers were unable to meet these requirements. Resource Label Group made the designs a reality.

The challenge
For decades, brands have used coupons to promote products and drive sales.
